The Universal White Brotherhood has had a group in the UK since 1974 and became a registered charity in 1983. Registered Charity No.1176485
The charitable objectives , of the Universal White Brotherhood, are to promote the study and practice the teaching of Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, whose philosophy falls within the lineage of the great spiritual traditions of humanity.
There are centres and groups, formed by disciples of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov, have now spread from Europe to North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
The objectives of the charity are carried out through residential weekends and congresses at the centre, the Doves Nest, and regular public meetings in London, Edinburgh and Oxford.
If you would like more information, or have any questions about the Universal White Brotherhood in the UK, please contact us and we will do what we can to help. Thank you.
There are residential congresses and weekend meetings at the charity’s central headquarters, the Doves Nest in East Sussex. You can learn more about the teaching here and practise putting it into practice.
We are a membership organisation for those UK residents who want to affiliate themselves to the teaching in a more committed way. Some events are open to members only – including all visits to Brotherhood centres abroad.
To be a member, a degree of experience and training is needed and those interested in taking this step will:
- Be committed and supportive of the aims and objectives of the Teaching
- Be actively reading the books and have read at least the New Earth, the Mysteries of Iesod, and The Yoga of Nutrition.
- Be learning to apply the practical methods of the teaching in their daily life.
- Be regularly attending Brotherhood meetings, and have experience of:
- sitting in silence during meditative activities.
- the laser meditation.
- eating in silence, and the Yoga of Nutrition
- the spiritual gymnastics
- the breathing exercises
- working harmoniously within the group setting .
The charity has a trading arm which aims to propagate the teaching via the numerous books available in English.
Its trading name is Prosveta, which means ‘ to spread spiritual light’.
Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov gave many thousands of lectures over almost 50 years. Many of these lectures have been transcribed and collated into books with titles which relate to the themes of the lectures. Some of the themes and methods can be found on this website.
Prosveta regularly has a stand at exhibitions such as the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival and the Yoga Show.
